For those who saw DEFIANCE at theatre

Was the movie shown with subtitles? I ask because on the DVD you have to watch with the English subtitles on to understand the non English speaking parts but the subs also show the English speaking parts which is annoying.

I don't remember subtitles, but I tend to phase them out.

The subtitles don't appear for the lines spoken in English on the Bluray disc.
