Whitney Houston's New Album "I Look to You"
Whitney's first album since 2002 (excluding a Xmas CD) will be released on Sept 1. It's titled "I Look to You" as you may have guessed.

Possible track from the album:
R Kelly demo track of the album title song:
It's been years since Whitney topped the charts. Do you think she has any chance of making a comeback given how music on the radio has changed?

Whitney's voice still sounds pretty good. She'll never be able to return to her "glory days" though, which is a shame.
Seeing R. Kelly sing the demo reminded me how much I want a new R. Kelly album that is strictly R&B and has nothing to do with Hip Hop.

The album is likely to go #1. Doubt there is any competition.
You can listen to the entire album here: http://www.whitneyhouston.com/us/front-splash
I found most of the tracks to be rather forgettable and bland. Million dollar bill, a song with a retro sound, is OK. A shame that the album as a whole isn't better. May require repeated listens.
Based on her appearance on GMA yesterday, the voice is nowhere as strong as it used to be:

Re: Whitney Houston's New Album "I Look to You"
I hope that she will be able to re-gain her clarity and range over time. In any other case I would think it's impossible, but the same thing happened to Mary J. Blige. She used to smoke pot and her voice sounded terrible back in the late 90s/early 2000s, but she sounds much better now. I'm hoping that it'll just take time. I've never been a die hard fan of hers, and personally I enjoy her presence and personality more than her music. My favorite song from her is "Miracle", and that was recorded in 1990.

I don't like her new song.
Well, never really liked all of her songs (except maybe, I Will Always Love You)
