I suppose now is a bit late to even address some of these things, but I have some questions/concerns about this tournament:

1) By titling it "Best Nude Scene," I assumed that specific scenes were to be nominated. Ergo, some movies might have more than one scene that stand out to different fans; by reducing the nominees to the movie in which the scene appears removes some of the competition from this, I think.

Also, it is likely that voters will recall only one qualifying scene from a nominated movie, when perhaps another vote-worthy scene is what got the movie on the ballot. I think that the actual ballots should include a brief reference to the scene for which it is nominated, at least.

2) Minor quibble: I prefer "Favorite" to "Best" in the wording. It's not my tourney, but I'm a bit of a stickler for word use. Schindler's List has that very vivid scene of the gassing of prisoners en masse in the shower, and while it is definitely one of the most powerful scenes I've ever seen in a film, and it does include nudity, it seems incongruous with what I perceive to be the spirit of this tournament.

I agree, and I get the sense that folk that are making the nominees are mostly including scenes that titilate more than elicit another type of reaction - I've yet to see (other than mine ) a scene mentioned where the nudity is comedic, or as a shock moment.

I don't think it's necessary to scrap the thread. I think you can just add in the changes as you prepare the actual tournament. But, of course, it's your show and I'm sure you know how to best organize these things!
