Wilco (The Album) June 30

Wilco have named their new album Wilco (The Album).
Seriously!
Rolling Stone says so! And their publicist has confirmed it!
That is so much better than just self-titling it Wilco, don't you agree?
Wilco (The Album) is out in June on Nonesuch. Yes, the leadoff track is "Wilco the Song". And there's a song with Feist on it.
Here's the tracklist:
Wilco (The Album):
01 Wilco the Song
02 Deeper Down
03 One Wing
04 Bull Black Nova
05 You and I
06 You Never Know
07 Country Disappeared
08 Solitaire
09 I'll Fight
10 Sunny Feeling
11 Everlasting

They played "Wilco - The Song" on the Colbert Report.
I don't care what they name the album or put on the cover. Their music is the best thing going right now.

Saw these guys live in Fairbanks, Alaska. Gave about a 2.5 hour show saying they would play till the sun set (it was 24 hour daylight).
One of these best damn shows Ive ever seen..... and I wasnt even a fan. Wanted to go to a live show.

Strong agreement as well. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was the beginning of the end for me, although I still own all of their albums to date.

Just saw them in Birmingham. Great show, they played no new material. If you go to their website, there is a free download for a song called "The Jolly Banker" in which they did with Feist (she doesn't sing).
Looking forward to their new album, one of the few bands that I have to see anytime they some within a four hour radius.

I was a big fan of Sky Blue Sky myself. In fact I'm really late in the game when it comes to Wilco and this album is what piqued my interest and eventual love.

I've been streaming this the last few days. It's along the same lines as Sky Blue Sky, which is fine by me. I probably like Summerteeth the best as well, or maybe Being There. Hell, they're all damn good.

73% positive on Metacritic.com. Generally favorable (not all that high).

I'm a big SBS fan and I don't know about it being a much stronger album, but my first impression is stronger than it was for SBS. This almost seems like a continuation of SBS in some respects. Soft and introspective at times (You and I and Solitaire). However, tracks like Bull Black Nova took me right back to the Yankee/Ghost era. This is a very solid album and I imagine in the end, I may come to agree that it is in fact much stronger than SBS.

I don't see much variation in quality from Summerteeth on. Jeff Tweedy really came into his own.
The thing I love about this current lineup is the wall of sound they are able to put out live. Three guitars when needed. Two keyboards when needed. And Nels Cline is simply incredible. They are able to reproduce their studio sound perfectly.
