DVD Talk review of 'Quantum of Solace: Two Disc Special Edition'

I read Jason Bailey's DVD review of Quantum of Solace: Two Disc Special Edition at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=36513 and...

I wholeheartedly disagree about the qualities about this film. From what was considered the peak in the Bond Franchise with Casino Royale comes this clumsily, ill-directed piece of tripe that is absolutely one of the low points of the entire Bond franchise. Never before has a franchise been raised to its highest standards and then come crashing down to its lowest possible descent. The action scenes are totally confusing and incomprehensible, leaving you frustrated instead of breathless. The Bond girl is a rather dour affair, not particular attractive or sexy. And the villian is a wimpy milktoast eurotrash that you don't particularly fear or care what happens to him in the end. It's a extremely pathetic and depressing affair. Send Marc Forster back to direct his dramas and keep him away from action pictures, because he made a total mess out this one.
