DVD Talk review of 'The Kite Runner' (Blu-ray)

I read Adam Tyner's DVD review of The Kite Runner at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=36552 and...

Only a 2.5/5.0 review for this film? Boo! I thought this was such a sweet and heartbreaking film. And one of 2007's best IMO.

It's too calculatedly sweet and heartbreaking, though. Every moment seems very deliberately, meticulously crafted to try to tug at the audience's heartstrings. The Kite Runner never earns it, at least not for my money.

I definitely appreciate you taking the time to respond, but I'd rather you chat about the text of the review than the number of stars in the sidebar. Makes for more of a conversation that way.
