DVD Talk review of 'Batman: '89-'97 Anthology' (Blu-ray)
I read Thomas Spurlin's DVD review of Batman: '89-'97 Anthology at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=36579 and recently Christian Bale is quoted as saying that if they try and introduce Robin into the current Batman cycle of films, he will quit! That speaks volumes about what happened to the Tim Burton series when the 'suits' took over. While I enjoyed "Batman Forever" at he time (I welcomed having more Batman screen time than Burton had given him), "Batman and Robin" was perhaps the worst experience I ever had in a movie theater. I went the day it opened and within the first ten minutes my jaw was agape and my mind was repeating "No... no...no"!

I'm one of probably very few who loved Batman Forever. I've never placed it alongside Batman & Robin (AKA the worst film I've ever seen) the way so many have lumped them together.
I've seen Batman Returns simply too often, so I have no real desire to ever watch it again because of that overexposure.
I'll certainly rent these discs if they're available, but considering I almost never watch the DVD versions (but watch the extras because they're still fantastic) I won't be buying this because I'd barely watch it - wouldn't be worth it for that reason alone.
