DVD Talk review of 'Back to the Future (1985)'
I read Tyler Foster's DVD review of Back to the Future (1985) at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=36327 and... I like his review. I agree with a lot of what he had to say. The second disc is the treat your acutally buying. The first disc is recycled from the trilogy. There is something about the movie that I think is diffrent? The transfer. I think it's sharper than the trilogy. The thing about the transfer that stands out is the sound. It sounds sharper & more dynamic.
The second disc like I said is the new treat with the addition of the ride which was taken down in 2007. I remember going the ride as soon as I watched the ride on the dvd. Obviously you won't get the entire experience but it's still kul to have. The new documentary is really exceptional due to the fact that Christopher Lloyd does new interviews which is something he never does. He is a Woody Allen who doesn't do any interviews or commentaries. The other new additions including the q&a with Michael J. Fox is info that every Back To The Future & Michael J. Fox fan already knows. It wud have been really nice to have a play all feature instead of clicking on each subject. The old school special hosted by Leslie Neilsen is a great addition from the archives.
I'm still waiting for the Eric Stolz footage to be put on a dvd. What I'm really hoping for is an all-out box set the trilogy deserves with a two-disc set for each movie & hopefully a digital copy of all three movies. It's a lot to ask for but I'm crossing my fingers.

Bob Gale has already insisted that we'll never see the Eric Stoltz footage, because that's unfair to everyone.
That's not to say it won't leak, but...
Thanks for reading my review.
