I recently got an LG BH200 player. I hooked it up via HDMI cable to a Sony HDTV with 1080i I have my Xbox360 and Playstation 3 hooked up to the TV with no problems. However, the problem I'm having with BH200 is that the image on screen does not show all the detail. Backgrounds are just a blur of colors. There's no definition at all. I've never encountered this problem before. I don't know a better way to describe it other than, lack of definition and shapes in the back and foreground are generally just shapes. It's like it's reading it at a very poor resolution.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Do you have your BD player set up properly? You may have to tell it what resolution(s) your TV is capable of displaying.

I set up my PS3 and 360 with no problem. However, with this player it just isn't working.

That's pretty much exactly how it looks.

I would

1-with no disc in the player,from the home menu go to the setup mode.
Make sure your in the right
--TV Aspect Ratio
--Resolution--should be 1080i for you

2-try green,blue and red cables and see if that helps.

Well, I did 1 and 2 with no luck. I've been browsing AVS Forum. I thought it might be a 24p versus 60p problem. I don't think it is though.

Does it have a black level setting? It's usually displayed as a choice between "darker" and "lighter", or synonyms.

Yeah, I didn't notice a difference. I think I'm gonna have to send it in to get fixed.
