Hello All,

I recently upgraded my speakers from Klipsch B2 to the Icon V36 series all the way round less the surround rears which are still the B2 series.

I'm using the yamaha RX V661 with the Samsung BD UP5000 and pushing my audio via HDMI.

Before I changed out the speakers i had 7.1 now, I get this 7 Channel Enhancer blurb on the receiver and it just sound like 7 channel stereo rather than true 7.1.

Is the 7 enhancer the same as 7.1 or do I need to adjust something?

Lose your manual? It says this is some sort of sound compressor for crappy music. I'd probably want it off.

Thanks Spiky. I had a bunch of stuff screwed up. I had misplaced my manual and tried to figure it all out in a very hands-on, let's see what this does kinda way and voila! I got...nothing. Anyway, after a 5 hour geek squad visit, I am right as rain. The enhancer essentially spreads a stereo feed across all 7 speakers as opposed to actually supressing anything. Totally my mistake.
