Beat me at posting. I couldn't say no to this deal. I know the cardboard packaging is hard on the discs but I store all my discs in cd single jewel cases anyway.

They'll probably be at 100% claimed within the next half-hour.

To think that I almost pulled the pin on the DDD25% sale, last weekend.

Don't feel too bad if you missed out on this sale. I didn't listen to all of the negative comments about scratched discs, and bought this for about $100.00 at BN.com. Because of all the scratches I ended up getting a replacement set and picked the best discs out of the two sets before returning one set. Left with about 1/3 of the discs scratched. I've only watched the first disc so far...it plays OK.

EDIT, Now says shipped!estimated delivery date: November 25,2008! I had 40 in Amazon gc, I got this for under 45 dollars! so it is even sweeter.one of my greatest dvd purchases over the next year.thanks OP!

Holy cow. I just got the set and I cannot believe how scratched up the discs are. Many of them look like they were dropped on the floor and stomped on, they are that bad. Does 20th Century Fox have a replacement policy on these? I could return them to Amazon but I would imagine a replacement set would be just as bad. Obviously, there is no way to watch all 36 discs to see which ones are affected by the mars, scuffs and scratches. Suggestions?

Nevermind. I'm just going to return it for a refund. I can't believe how poor the packaging is. Discs are tightly layered three on a page leaving a heavy ring mark on 2 out of the 3 discs. And forget the scratches, several of my discs had severe scuff marks on them which makes me wonder how they got there. The set I got is obviously worse than the description of what most folks got. I really thought all I had to do was remove the discs and store them out of the box. I didn't expect them to be in such poor shape from the get go.
