Horror movie body count

I was just wondering what are some horror movies with the highest body counts? Also on a side note where in the world is Eli Roth and Rob Zombie?? Why havent they started their next project. Are they currently working on something now?

FIVE, the Arch Obeler film from the 50's has to rank high: entire population of the planet minus five.

I know there must be horror movies with higher totals, especially lesser known ones and foreign films.

In fact I'd be willing to bet 28 Weeks Later had a higher body count.

cincyfan987 welcome to DVDtalk. When you get a chance please take some time to look around and get a feel for the place. In particular you'll notice there are various forums covering various topics. Since this question wasn't about DVDs but more a generic questions about movies it should have gone into the Movie Forum.

thanks

OK, if you go by the strict definition of "slasher movie" I would have to guess the worst of the Jason movies (although, strangely without Jason), Friday the 13th: A New Beginning. I'm pretty certain it had the most kills in a Friday the 13th movie.

I believe Jason Goes to Hell beat it with its bodycount and I think Jason X did as well but i'm not sure about that one.

although I think, I might be wrong, but the highest body count in a single film in a single scene was the horror film that took place on the boat, where the prologue had every one bisected in half by a wire. The name has completely escaped me.

Sure why not, just wondering what the top 10 slasher films with highest body counts are. Most of them I seen only have a few. Anyone care to list them and not be stupid about it?
