Stallone. Statham. Jet Li... The Expendables

"Sylvester Stallone is set to star in and helm "The Expendables" for Nu Image/Millennium Films.
Stallone, who also penned the script, will be joined onscreen by Jason Statham, while Jet Li is in final negotiations to join the actioner.

Pic follows a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator. Lensing starts in February in Costa Rica and Louisiana.

Producers are Avi Lerner, John Thompson and Kevin King Templeton. Boaz Davidson, Trevor Short and Danny Dimbort exec produce.

Stallone joined forces with Nu Image/Millennium on the latest "Rambo," which he also helmed and co-wrote."

Fuck it. Let's also get in the mix:

Jackie Chan
Wesley Snipes
Vin Diesel
Jim Brown
Steve McQueen's zombie corpse
Patrick Swayze
Tom Sizemore
Charles Bronson's zombie corpse
Burt Reynolds
Dom DeLuise

And this might possibly be the greatest movie ever made. They don't even need to call it The Expendables. Just Fuckin' Awesome: The Movie.

Stallone and Statham alone guarantee my interest. Also throw in:

David Carradine
Keith Carradine
Josh Brolin
Powers Boothe
Bill Paxton
Mickey Rourke
Jeff Fahey
Brian Bosworth
William Forsythe
Robert Forster
Roddy Piper
Clancy Brown
Lee Marvin's zombie corpse
Samuel L. Jackson
Rutger Hauer
Michael Biehn
Mr. T
Bruce Willis
Lance Henriksen
Gary Busey
Nick Nolte

...and this could be the manliest, biggest, most bad-fucking-ass testosterone overdrive this side of a Commando/Uncommon Valor/Extreme Prejudice triple feature.

Fuck it. Clint, this should be your last film. Call Schwarzenegger, get him in this fucker.

Is "The Extendables" the title of the flick or the status of these guys in Hollywood?

No Michael Dudikoff, no sale.

While we're at it, let's throw in some more ex-NFL action dudes too, like Howie Long and Brian Bosworth.

sounds good. i liked "Rambo" and can buy Stallone as an action hero again, despite his roid-raged physique.

Stallone and Statham is good news. Jet Li however doesn't seem to fit unless the government is using martial arts to combat evil dictators.

Good thing I had finished eating several minutes ago, otherwise I would have spit it all over my monitor. That title is the best laugh I've had in days.

BTW, while we're at it, why not just put all these guys in a WWF cage match and see who comes out alive.

I thought Jet Li had made his last movie years ago.
What happened that he still keeps acting?
