Best Buy - 2 dvds and a $10 gift card for $12 plus tax
http://www.bestbuy.com/site//olspage...&type=category
add 2 to cart and they will automatically be reduced to $6 each. click on the link for the $10gc next to one of the dvds and scroll to the bottom and add it to your cart. select store pickup for free shipping.
the deal is only for these select dvds:
miracle
eight below
good will hunting
kill bill vol.1
kill bill vol.2
o brother, where art thou?
gangs of new york
i haven't placed an order (already have the dvds i want from the list), but i'm assuming that if you make separate orders of 2 dvds each you can get more than 1 gift card.

Anyone know when the Gangs of New York Blu-Ray rebate expires?
I was about to buy the $39.99 KB Blu-Ray package from Amazon and ready multiple places that those do NOT include the rebate forms. I think those rebates expire 7/31/09, by the way (I haven't seen them myself).

There are a lot of films in the 2 for 12 deal (or 5 for 25), others in the separate free $10 giftcard deal, but the ones he/she listed are the only ones that combine both deals..

This is a good deal.
But, what drives me crazy about these giftcard deals is when people say things like:
I got X and Y for $2.
And then in a later thread, about another sale, they'll say:
I got Z for $5 after the $15 sale price and a $10 GC! What a steal!
Where'd that other $10 go?
PS. I am not saying that previous posters in this thread have done or are doing that. It's just a pet peeve of mine for these GC deals, and I KNOW that's one of the big reasons why the companies offer them--because the consumers fool themselves into thinking that way. They start thinking of the $10 GC first like it's cash back, and then later like it's a coupon. It doesn't work both ways. You're getting these for $6 each.

We've even had people start new threads "Title X for $5", but then in the post mention that they used a gift card they got for their birthday.
But I don't totally agree with the part I bolded.
For $12, I'm getting both films and say, two more $5 films. So for $12 I'm getting 4 films, or $3 each.

We are probably lucky that the two separate deals combined on the buy 2 part, as BB is becoming "better and better" about not allowing deals/discounts to combine.

To me, a GC (especially at BB) is always like cash. You know you're gonna spend money there eventually, so the GC is like cash in your wallet, waiting to be spent...

Great deal, too bad there weren't more movies as I already had 3 of them.

Me three. I had almost gotten to the point where I didn't even care about buying the movies at all anymore, but this seems like pretty good reasoning to do it, and I'll just use the gift card on a new release I would have bought anyway.
