Man. That's what I paid for the HD-DVD back in June.

Good price.

Darn, just used a BB $10 coupon on this to get it for $5. Would have used the coupon on something else and got this at Amazon as filler if I had known earlier.

Does this movie benefit that much from Hi-Def over Standard-Def? (It was filmed in 16mm, as I recall)

The fact that it was shot on 16mm wouldn't lessen it's potential benefit from a proper HD transfer...that being said, this is probably the worst-looking HD material I've viewed yet. Good movie though.

Just my $.02

I don't know what all the rumpus is all about. If you are getting a Hi-Def movie (even though it may look like SD) at a price equal/lower than it's SD counterpart, should you even think ?

Loved the movie, but if there isn't much difference between the HD-DVD and the reg, then I guess I'll pass.

There are times when the HD DVD out-shined the DVD--like close-ups of the Penguins, but I wouldn't recommend it for just anyone.
