HI DVDTalkers!

Got the Target circular for 11/2/08 - 11/8/08 in my hands.

Please be aware of the following:
  • All New Release CD / DVD prices listed are advertised as Available Tuesday 11/4/08
  • Suspected Low Price is listed in parentheses
  • GAMERS: The Wii Gaming System IS listed in this week’s ad on Page #4 // Quantities limited // No rain checks
  • GAMERS: Get a Free Wii video game when you buy 2 at regular price // Free offer includes all regular $49.99 and less Wii games // Each purchased Wii game must be equal to or greater than the price of the free Wii game // Quantities limited // No rain checks // Choose from over 80 titles!
  • From time to time special deals / prices will be listed in the Store Notes Section & the in the product price thread that may or may not be available in your specific geographic area. This is due to Regional Market Variations of the nationwide ads that I post and as such, not all deals / prices will be available in all Target stores. How many discs are in the Star Wars sets? Does the latter films have the original versions and the enhanced ones?

The original non-SE "theatrical cuts" of the Episodes IV-VI (if that's what you are referring to) are not on the dvd's, and if Lucas has his way they never will be.

* EDIT: I'm wrong - see below

Ah, so these are just repackaging the SEs that were already out? For the price, it's not too shabby.

I believe they are, aren't they? They're just non-anamorphic and basically unrestored in any way at all. That is, if they are using the previous 2 disc editions, which, at 6 discs, appears that they are.

OH WAIT! you are right! I completely forgot about that. They gave in and put them on the discs because fans demanded them, but as a big FU to the fans they used the crappiest prints around and did no restoration or even anamorphic. Sorry for my misinformation. I had forgotten about that!

The Get Smart 2-disc at Target has a bonus 3rd disc and lenticular cover. The sticker on the lenticular says Only at Target: Exclusive Bonus Content - Includes the hilarious KAOS SPY TAPES
