Hmmm. I found 4 titles I wouldn't mind buying at $5 each, but I need 6 for the deal + free shipping, so I guess I'll pass this time around. I no longer get too excited about $5 titles thanks to Big Lots and Walmart bins. If I don't get it now, I'll get it later. If it goes OOP, then I'll get it on BR when there are $5 BR displays at Big Lots or Walmart.

Just orderd Die Hard (Steelbook - My first steelbook!) and Valley of the Dolls.
Still thinking about That Thing You Do and Kinsey 2D (and maybe 300 Spartans and Fly II 2D). I think my purchases at BL have serisously influenced what I consider a deal.

I don't think it's a "loophole" in that the order amount *before promotion* meets the free shipping conditions. Because of the way these B1G1 of varying type promotions are done Amazon simply "back bills" the promotion amount to the studio(s) offering the promotion. Amazon gets the same amount of money, just from 2 different sources, so the order still qualifies. If the promotional price is offered "up front" in a general price reduction, as in the % off sales, you would need to meet the free shipping qualifications.
