Harry Potter Box Set Double Dip

Good heavens -- this has to be some kind of record. It's been less than a year and this looks to be just a simple repackaging of the previously released 1-5 movie boxset. Personally, I think I'll wait until the second or third release of the 1-6 movie boxset. Maybe even wait 'til the first 1-7 boxset. I don't know if I'll be able to hold out until the 1-8 super-duper-mega-collossal-ultimate-fantasteriffic edition.

Fab, I'm holding out for a new pacakging release of the Dirty Harry films just like this. I have no need for the fluff, which is why I never bothered on getting the first box set.

I'm a bit iffy on the first movies, so I haven't purchased any yet. I figure I'll wait and see how I like the entire series before purchasing any of them anyway.

Agreed... I think I'll wait for a similar version once every potter film is made/released.

+1 And you KNOW Warner will be re-releasing these "sets" every time a new film arrives on home video and/or a new movie arrives. There are still 3 movies to go so I'll be holding off until around 2011 I expect.

I'm just buying them individually. I got them on Bluray for $10 during the B1G1 free sale.

I got all 5 on HD-DVD for $29 total ($6 + $6 + $11 + $6 + free).

I'm in no hurry to get the BD version.

I'm waiting until the IME features from the HD-DVDs are integrated into the BD versions.

Warner has been doing this on their most recent releases of BDs that had previously been out on HD-DVD only.

I have the first 5 already on DVD, so I think i'll wait until all 7 are done and buy a fancy set on Blu then. Unless another great deal comes along and I can get these cheap.

Eight. They're dividing the 7th book into two films.

From blu-ray.com:

Update: Warner has issued new press material indicating the films would be released on new super slim cases and utilize Dolby TrueHD for the soundtracks.

Ditching the PCM track then...interesting.

Yeah I have the first 4 on DVD...was considering biting on the cheap HD deals, but other than that, not in a rush to get a set anytime soon.
