Casino Royale (2006) double-dip: Oct. 21

I know the 3-disc SD DVD had been announced several months ago, but the accompanying 2-disc Blu-ray version was news to me. Not that it was a surprise , mind you . . .

I believe the 6 classic Bonds being released on Blu-ray in October also have QOS movie cash.

Hot damn, I guess I will go ahead and "pick up" my friends tickets and have them just pay me back then.

How much of a difference is there between the two cuts?

I'd be surprised if it wasn't the same encode. The only difference (besides the extras) is that the TrueHD track might be 24-bit.

I wish Memento could have been their next double dip, and I think they might do it if there was some sort of tie-in opportunity. Could there be some other movie by the same director coming later this year on BD?

Don't be getting my hopes up. I would buy a Memento double dip in a flash.

I'm in. I held off buying the original because of the rumors. To bad the extended cut doesn't sound like it will be available.

I held off also for various reasons, so I am in on day one.
