Sweeney Todd (Blu-ray) - 10/21/08

According to blu-news.com, Paramount will finally be releasing Sweeney Todd on (North American) BD on October 21st. This fits with the tentative October release date given for this title here. There's also a thread for this already on blu-ray.com, and apparently several online retailers are already taking pre-orders.

I guess we'll be seeing a formal announcement from Paramount shortly on this ...

Good news, but I'm still thinking about ordering the international cut instead.

Zodiac should be coming out either the same day or a week before/after.

Of course. My steelbook just arrived yesterday!

No regrets, though. I feel like I got a great price on it and I don't have to wait any more.

+1

I couldn't agree more.

They're going to have a hard time trumping the steelbook release...

International cut?

I'm assuming this is not the UK Steelbook.

The UK steelbook is the international cut.

Btw, found out that blunews.com is run by some high schooler which explains the look.

What's different? I watched the R1 DVD and the UK Blu-ray and they were identical.

I broke down last night and ordered the steelbook. I got it from Xploited and received a shipping confirmation today, so they definitely still have some in stock if anyone was interested.
