I'm considering the 8.5" SDV185-S from Nextbase for my car. I saw it in a local store in the bay area. It's pricer than the other portable dvd players i've seen (it's $399) and I'm wondering if that will worth the money. It feels very solid when I hold it and it's thinner and lighter than the other ones. The best thing about it is that I can attach and detach the player from the back of the headrest without drilling holes in my car. It looks decent too. One day when my kids all grow up I can easily take the player out. Does anyone own a Nextbase brand? The only thing I'm really worried about is whether it will last. I got a Coby one before and it broke not even after the first movie we were seeing during a car trip.
