The only other song I can think of is "Queen Elvis" by Robyn Hitchcock.

Maybe "Wild Thing" by Tone Loc?

There's a good verse about a transvestite on the Pharcyde's "Oh Shit."

I'm not sure why the thread is still up, since I didn't do the poll right, but one of the choices was "Dude Looks Like A Lady" by Aerosmith, along with "Walk on the Wild Side," "Lola," and "Other." I really wanted to see what the "others" might be. The only other one I can think of now is "Sweet Transvestite" from "Rocky Horror," but I'm not sure songs from musicals would count.

I would think "Sweet Transvestite" would count since it's rock n roll.

Right guy, wrong song... it's "Funky Cold Medina"

I went up to this girl
she said "Hi, my name Sheena"
I thought she'd be good to go with a little funky cold medina.
She said "I'd like a drink", I said "ok, I'll go get it"
and then a couple of sips, she cold licked her lips and I knew that she was
with it.
So I took her to my crib
and everything went well as planned
but when she got undressed it was big old mess
Sheena was a man
so I threw him out
I don't fool around with no Oscar Meyer weiner
You must be sure that the girl is pure for the funky cold medina

D'oh! In my defense, I'm sure I'm not the first person to have mixed those two songs up.

Ain't no plans with a man. This is the 80s and I'm down with the ladies.

I imagine they're only going to get more obscure from here:

I'm as big a Kinks fan as you'll find, but I'd rather hear "Madam George" any day.

It may not be a song about transvetites, but Q Lazzarus' "Goodbye Horses" will forever be linked to that word in my mind.

Yeah Lola kind of lost it for me during that short period in the 70's when the Kinks became arena darlings. They deserved to be huge but I hate what they became in that era.

I think it's a "Whatever it is I think I see, becomes a Tootsie Roll to me" situation.

One of my faves by them! Had no idea it was about a transvestite! I thought it was about pop starlets like Britney! LOL
