Bones---"The Man in the Mud"---4/14/08--New Night

Photobucket

Hell Yeah, Bones is back!! I've missed Booth & Brennan. It's been almost 5 months since the last episode aired (November).

FYI: The next 4 episodes were actually shot Pre-Strike. FOX only green lighted 2 more post strike episodes.

But, hell 6 consecutive weeks of Bones is awesome!

House will follow it at 9pm starting in 2 weeks with new episodes.

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

When a motorcycle racer's remains are discovered in a national park, Brennan and Booth hunt for his killer. But just when they're getting traction, another rider's seemingly accidental death throws the case off course. Meanwhile, Dr. Sweets tries to get Booth and Brennan to leave their work at the office.

got on board 'Bones' late, caught up S1 and S2 via dvd during the writers strike... would have been nice if during that time all of these shows opted to re-run their current seasons, which I could/would have tivo'd .....

The date I've seen is two weeks, April 28, for House, but certainly TV schedules are YMMV.

Since I only have CSI: Miami to watch on Mondays now, this is a welcomed schedule change for me.

Hurray! My GF is going nuts as this is her favorite show. Monday's is crowded for me. Bones, House, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Greek. I'm still recording New Amsterdam...yet I have not watched an episode. Is this show over this week?

Yeah, Bones is back, baby! They showed Howard Epps last episode on Friday and it just reminded how much I've been missing this show.

Woo freaking Hoo!

B & B are Back Baby!

Can't wait!

I tore through seasons 1 and 2 on DVD during the strike, and I was watching 2 discs worth a night (8 episodes at least) so they went pretty quickly. Great to have them back.

Not one of the best episodes, but certainly entertaining. Wings Hauser and M.C. Gainey look like they could be brothers! BTW, Gainey's lawyer was a highlight.

Looks like Booth may have to mentor poor Sweets. And Booth made a pony in ceramic class! Excellent!

Agreed. I didn't really like the case part of the show, but the dynamic between the 2 was pretty good

Next weeks episode is the one that was delayed from 2 years ago. There was some sort of school shooting so they chose not to air it. They shot a few new scenes...but the Bones' hair is totally different.

The shooting in question was Virginia Tech.

The smart thing would have been to simply include it on the season 2 DVD set, saving them from all that work restructuring the episode (to remove mentions of the wedding arc) and reshooting scenes...but then FOX isn't that smart.

Like you said with the hairstyle change, those scenes are going to stick out so bad.

While it would have been neat to have it on the Season 2 boxset, with the strike, it actually helped them. They have an additional "fresh" episode (since they only filmed 2 after strike episodes).

Had Sweets been in the opening pre-strike? Seems like a nice upgrade for Sam Weir.

Yes he had been. I don't recall how many, but maybe 3 episodes or so prior to the strike.

I really enjoyed when they were trying to explain chocking up on the crowbar and finally Zach explains the movement of the fulcrum.

I'm curious to see if they re-shot all of Hodgins scenes from that episode. T.J. Thyne's hairstyle has also changed from 2 years ago.
