Remember when Bravo used to be good!
Does anyone remember back in the 90's or so when Bravo used to show MOVIES. uncensored. and they had quality arts programming?
Now it's a joke channel with a plethora of rediculous reality competitions/shows taking up almost 100% of the broadcast day.
I remember when I could actually find intersting films that I would otherwise miss out on seeing.
Here's a list of what's on tonight:
8pm- The Millionaire Matchmaker
9pm- The Millionaire Matchmaker
10pm- Top Chef
11pm- Top Chef
Tomorrow Night:
8pm- The Real Housewives of New York City
9pm- The Real Housewives of New York City
10pm- The Real Housewives of New York City
11pm- The Real Housewives of New York City
12pm- The Real Housewives of New York City
1am- Step It Up & Dance
Wednesday Night:
pretty much the same thing as monday & tuesday combined

I remember those days too. I loved it when I didn't have to work in the morning and could watch the West Wing reruns even though I own the 1st 4 seasons.
As far as their showings of movies, that sucks too. Hopefully, as more and more widescreen TVs get sold, people will let the broadcasters know that the movies need to be shown in their OAR.
Reality TV is what pays the bills nowadays, so I can't blame them for the shift in programming.

I do miss the old Bravo too, as well as the old A&E, the old MTV, the old VH1, the old Cartoon Network, the old Disney Channel after midnight (Vault Disney), the old TBS (wrestling and Braves games), and the old WB (cartoons in the afternoon).
I'm getting old.

I like Top Chef.. and now that Project Runway is moving.. that will be about all I will be watching on Bravo.. pretty much the way it has always been for me, about 1 show on this network only seems worth watching.

Top Chef is the shit!
But I do miss those two hour blocks of West Wing in the morning, or the 4 hour marathon on Monday nights. That wasn't that long ago, but still. Which makes me wonder, why West Wing is not in syndication anywhere...at least in my region.

I miss the old IFC.
What happened to all the good stuff they used to show and what is this "whitest kids you know" show that is on everytime I turn to the channel!
I also miss Bravo. I havnt had it in about 5 years cause i moved and the new cable provider does not carry it cause they are dumbasses. I did enjoy actual interesting programs about film and stuff like inside the actors studio.

I like "Top Chef" and "Project Runway". Like mphtrilogy, now that "PR" jumped ship, "TC" will be the only show I watch on BRAVO.

Fine by me. How about taking over daytime weekend networks so they don't air infomercials all weekend?

Even during the slow changeover days when Bravo got into more original programming and fewer movies they still had good taste, Twin Peaks, the original Inside the Actors Studio (which was more informative and less fawning), Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends, and artist doc profiles aplenty.
But nope, now we get gay reality shows. And yep, I'm a total hypocrite because I watch Top Chef and Runway. I'm just that sad a person when it comes to my lazy late night viewing.
