04/02/08 - South Park - Canadia Takes a Stand
NEW YORK, March 31, 2008 – Canadians want more money and decide to stage a strike in an all-new episode of "South Park," entitled, "Canada On Strike!," premiering on Wednesday, April 2 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on COMEDY CENTRAL.
The head of the World Canadian Bureau leads the country into a long and painful strike and the responsibility of brokering a settlement rests with the boys. Meanwhile, people from Denmark flock to the U.S. and cross the picket lines to take the place of the striking Canadians. In conflict over whether or not to stand with their countrymen, Terrance and Phillip uncover the truth behind the outrageous cost of the strike.

I wonder what Denmark people look like in South Park style... will they have the Terrance & Phillip/Ike Canadian egghead look, or will they look like the normal characters? Or will they have an entirely new look?
Oh, and I suppose there's always the Saddam/Mel Gibson 'photo look', but that's usually deserved for famous people.

I'm not your friend, guy.
I thought going for another gore fest with the internet video sensations wasn't entirely necessary, but it moved the plot forward to where it needed to go. I'd say that's the most negative I could be about this episode. After a bad episode, a mediocre one, and one that seems to have been directed at only one segment of the South Park audience with little value for me, this episode really worked very nicely.

We want more monneeeeehhhh! We want Intehnet moneh!
This entire episode was one big  Easily the best one so far.
The Internet personality fight made me lose control of myself, as did
And of course, Butters gay jokes ad nauseum.
I've loved even some of the less loved ones (I was rolling over the one with Stan's dad in the shit-taking contest with Bono) recently, but this one could very well become a classic.

Oh, I can just see it now. We'll walk in the front doors, and the nice Bennigan's hostess lady will take us to our cozy booth. Then we'll order some mozzarella sticks, for appetizers. Dad will open his present, and Mom will open hers. Then the Bennigan's wait staff will sing "Happy, Happy Anniversary" from everyone at Bennigan's!"
