CSI: Miami---2 part episode 3/31-4/1---"Ambush/All In"

A big 2-night CSI:Miami event tonight.
Synopsis for Ambush, which airs tonight:
Spoiler:
Part 2 airs tomorrow at 10pm. It will probably triple the ratings that Jericho was getting just because it's CSI:Miami.

I read some spoilers for tomorrow's episode, and it appears that Horatio will turn into an all-out action hero taking out bad guys left and right.
Fuckin' A. I mean, Fuckin' H !

Fixed.

I don't watch this show consistently, so I assume that Elizabeth Berkley is supposed to be Horatio's ex and they are in some kind of custody fight. Anyhow, I love how she and her murderer-boyfriend think Horatio is somehow Lord and Master of Florida and that if he gets sent away to Brazil, the boyfriend will be off the hook.

Elizabeth Berkley is looking a bit creepy these days.

I liked when she had a guest appearance on the regular CSI in one of the early seasons(one of the Lady Heather eps). She looked really hot in that one.
Looks like she's gone overboard with plastic surgery.

Probably not the right place to ask but...
I have been meaning to give this one a try again...can anyone elaborate on why I should?

I watch it simply for the cheese factor and eye candy.

Because Horatio Caine is the fucking man.
Because it's, well, CSI: Miami and everyone should watch it just cause it's on. It's harmless fun.

The technology used and the crime plots are pretty cheesy, but they are plausible.
David Caruso's is pretty famous for his cheesy 1-liners, putting his sun glasses on and off constantly and speaking in 1 sentence dialogue.
It's the 2nd highest rated CSI and I think more people are watching it for the visuals than a thought-provoking plot.
I'm sure you already know most of this from watching the show in the past. If you want to waste an hour on a visually entertaining show, then by all means give this a go again.

Although this show isn't going to win any awards any time soon, visually it's stunning to say the least. There's a lot worse ways you can spend an hour that's for sure.

Sold...I guess I will give this a go. I just got my 5.1 system hooked up the other day, so this should be fun.
Ironically, the lack of realism was the reason I disliked the CSI franchise in general. But now I am older and a little wiser, and I take things for what they are. I just needed an outside opinion to nudge me over the edge. I might even give CSI: NY a go too.

It doesn't get the credit it deserves, as it's a great show headlined by Gary Sinise. I watched "Ransom" the other day, and considering his character in that film was almost an evil, foul-mouthed alter-ego of his CSI role, that resonated with me more than it would have otherwise.
CSI: Miami is the number 1 show around the world primarily because of how visually stunning it is.

When I was in Edinburgh for a few years, CSI Miami would cheer me up during many grey days with its bright colors. I like it now (when I'm actually living in Florida) for its escapist nature and for the ridiculous soap opera life of Horatio Caine. Plus I can watch it and do other stuff at the same time without missing much.
CSI NY is pretty decent and well worth a shot. I actually think its cast is the best of all the CSIs, but it suffers from having a setting that is much more familiar than the Las Vegas and Miami ones.

Wisconsin, move over. Miami is now the cheese capital of North America.
But it sure is fun and any plot that focuses on Calleigh is good in my book...
Until 24 comes back, Horatio Caine will now have to rule as the biggest badass on Monday nights. Of course, Jack Bauer is a badass all by himself, without resorting the Mighty Sunglasses of Justice(tm).
I'll take your word that Elizabeth Berkley now looks freaky. I never got a good look at her face.

That open with Horatio taking out that entire Brazilian gang was probably the funniest shit I have ever seen on the show. And his line....."La Noche justice.....this is Miami justice." was classic cheese ball Horatio.
I have to say that this was a very entertaining, yet extremely cheesy 2-part episode. Part 1 IMO was a little better as they never paid off the storyline with Elizabeth Berkley and Kim Coates.

So H flew all the way to Brazil, killed a few gang members, and flew back and wore the same suit the whole time, even Elizabeth Berkley wore the same black dress the whole show.
