Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors (Los Angeles, April 25th-26th, 2008)
http://www.creationent.com/cal/dod.htm
I'm finally getting to go after wanting to for the last 3-4 years.
Anyone else going? How much do autographs cost? Is it the same pricing as say most cons ($20 or so for an autographed item). There are a lot of DVD's I want to bring to get signed.

I'll be there, as always. I'm at the Horrorshirts booth helping out my buddy, who coincidentally is doing a panel this year. Auto's are usually $20 across the board, but some big ticket guys (like Romero) will charge you $40. Blame Creation, they make them charge that much for signing.

$40? Yikes. I'll have to rethink what DVD's to bring or just bring them and figure it out the day of the con.

Man, I remember going to a couple of these two decades ago (!) and meeting Clive Barker, Anthony Perkins, Robert Englund, Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi, the casts and crews of Hellraiser and Return of the Evil Dead, and many others. Elvira. Assorted Scream Queens. Mmmm. And nobody charged anything for autographs.

Oh well. I put money aside specifically to pay for all the autographs I want that weekend. This actually will be my first horror movie convention.

Did anyone from out of town get their tickets yet?
They were sent out Monday. A friend of mine who lives half an hour away got his already and mine are still MIA.
I was told by Creation Ent. that I'd still be able to get in with the confimation emails + photo ID, but the point of getting the tickets was so I didn't have to wait in a huge line to get in

The hotel my friends and I are staying at is about 3-4 blocks away. What time should do you think we should wake up to try and get to the line early?

Tri-State area residents (NJ, NY, PA) should also be excited about the Chiller Theatre convention May 2-4.
Many appearances from some at the one next weekend, but a few major differences at this one:
#1: Joe Pantoliano.
#2: Ernest Borgnine.
#3: William fucking Forsythe.

I went to Chicago Fangoria back in '96.
I met Clive Barker, Reggie Bannister, Ken Foree, Clint Howard, etc.
I didnt have to pay a single dime for autographes. Time have sure changed, and I'm really wanting to attend another show soon - but with these prices continually rising I may never attend another.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the hollywood 'hots' show up at the events? You know like Quentin T & Robert Rodriguez?

I'm jealous of you in the Midwest + East Coast. You guys seem to get horror cons pretty frequently.

Pretty excited. Still haven't received my tickets in the mail so it's safe to say they were lost. I'll probably wake up early anyway to wait in line on Saturday.

Wonder how that is going to work? I've never been to the L.A Convention Center. Are both conventions going to be on opposite sides of the building.

Awesome convention. Wish the promoters weren't so anal about photos/photo ops. Oh well.
Sorry I didn't introduce myself KillerCannibal. One of my friends bought a "Rock n Roll High School" shirt from your table.
Here's hoping the West Coast will continue to get more horror cons.
