So what's up with Psych and Monk on NBC Sundays?
So on Sunday these shows are airing on primetime. Monk at 8 followed by Psych at 9.
My question is how is NBC choosing what episodes to air? Monk will be showing "Mr. Monk Makes A Friend" which originally aired 1/19/2007 while Psych will be "Psy vs. Psy" which originally aired July 27, 2007. Both episodes are from a random point in the season. I can understand that Monk is five seasons in, but why couldn't they have started Psych from the beginning?

Maybe they are just showing some of the better ones since these won't be airing a full season.
I assume a month or 2 is all they will show as new episodes start in July on USA.

NBC similarly scrambled the order of the Season 7 L&O Criminal Intent episodes that had previously been shown on cable's USA network.
I "revolted" and archived the episodes on my DVR to watch them in proper order. I think some of the plot lines that were touched upon in consecutive episodes made better sense this way.
