CSI:Miami---"You May Now Kill the Bride"---1st post-strike episode--3/24/08

Good to see Horatio and company back on Monday nights. I've been craving some Monday night comedy.

I believe this is the 1st of 8 new episodes.

Spoiler:

A bride is murdered at her wedding and one of the suspects is the groom, who is a professional baseball player. The investigation leads the CSIs to a strip club where the bachelor party took place.

Pretty good episode, but mostly from a visual standpoint. Lots of really hot woman especially the black club girl who was flirting with Delko. Surprised to see Nanny Carrie from One Tree Hill as a guest star. She was looking mightly fine in that orange dress.

Really looking forward to the 2-parter next week. I looked at the guest star list and I am very happy to see Sofia Milos back once again.

Still the best laugh-out-loud unintentional comedy on CBS.

Apparently, the extended break didn't give the writers any new or interesting ideas.

I agree, pretty painful to watch.....even for Miami.

From a visual standpoint, I enjoyed it. But, plot-wise it was pretty sub par. I saw the cross-dressing thing coming from a mile away and geez those photos were cringe-worthy. That actor must be really embarrassed. Next week's 2-part episode does look good and bringing back the Brazil storyline should be interesting.

I did read the cast and crew are working 6 days a week to crank out these last 8 episodes, so it's not surprising that some of them are going to suck in the story department.

You've just described CSI:Miami's entire run.

I know the last thing I should be doing is trying to bring logic into a discussion about this show, but why did the guy decide to try to kill the girl during the wedding (using an automated gun mounted under a car ), rather than, you know, any other time? Even if it went off as planned, you'd still have a stripper's head being blown off in the middle of your friend's wedding. Wouldn't the team be able to trace her back to the groom pretty easily? Wouldn't they have searched the dead stripper's apartment and found the photos? And why was the stripper at the wedding anyway? Was that part of the blackmail agreement?

My attention wanders quite a bit while I'm watching this show, so apologies if these questions were answered and I just missed them.

The answer to any of your questions is pretty simple. The writers and producers just keep one thing in mind when making this show:

"Because it'll look really cool!"

Doesn't get any easier than that

Besides, how dare you analyze the plotlines of CSI: Miami !

Really the only reason I watch Miami is to hear Caruso's corny 1-liners and to see Eva Larue and Emily Procter and all the other gorgeous women on the show.

If I won the lotto, the 2nd thing I'd buy after a 911 is a Rolls Royce. They are awesome!!!

The show was typical fun, and I loled at the oscar de la hoya photos..

like a few episodes ago when they had that mercenary company's laptop and it was being hacked and they were too dumb to remove the power cord and battery to turn it off

Did that other baseball player really seem like the kind of mechanical genius who could quickly hammer together a self-aiming, remote-controlled gun mount? Or are those things available off-the-shelf at Assassins-Я-Us?

And can someone explain the part about how the fake diamonds in the wedding veil somehow caused the veil to hang differently, causing the veil to be hit, thus fragmenting the bullet?

Now if some Miami crimelord is smart, he'll use the self-aiming remote-controlled gunmount to control that stupid super-gun from a earlier this season that shoots 200 rounds simultaneously. I'd like to see Horatio go up against that!

You're not supposed to be analyzing this show for plotholes and the like!

It's CSI: Miami !

It's just supposed to look pretty, give Horatio an excuse to put on/take off/put on his Sunglasses Of Justice (TM) and blow stuff up real good.
