I cannot wait until I get home from work tonight and fire this episode up. This is going to be really good!!!
So this is episode 12, which was the final pre-strike episode. So, we're going to have to wait about 1 month until the next new installment.

Great episode. I did see the whole Psycho Nanny Carrie kidnapping Jamie eventually happening. But, I thought it was cool that Dan came in and saved the day. I think this season is probably one of the strongest creatively.
This episode could have worked as a season finale, but I am happy that we are getting 7 more episodes to wrap up the season. I think it will be interesting to see whether or not Dan is truly trying to redeem himself.

Really good episode, Nanny Carrie kidnapping Jamie was pretty dark stuff, but how pathetic of a human being would you be to do that. But it was so cool seeing Dan grabbing her by the throat. It will be weird to see what will happen to Dan now that he is out of prison.

Dan gets to play the "I murdered my own brother, what makes you think I won't do you in?" card for the rest of his life. Good stuff.
It's sort of sad that CMM's character is sort of the center of the show because he's still such a poor actor, even after all these years.

As for this particular episode, I liked it overall. I didn't enjoy seeing Lindsay run out on Lucas(and I thought it was another "what if?" hallucination for a while there), but I guess we all knew it was coming. Guest stars don't stick around very long on this show.
Speaking of which, I'm glad they brought Andy back. He and Chris Kellar were the only Season 2 additions I could tolerate. And even though I knew Dan would track down Psycho Nanny, it was still fun watching him choke some sense into her.

Chris Keller was really only a bad guy in season 2, when he almost broke up Naley's marriage, his episodes in season three were some of my favorite of the series, when his character was mostly comedic.

So I finally got around to watching this episode and I really enjoyed it.
The series has definately come back this season, although the whole Nanny Keri storyline has really bugged me from the beginning. I wish they had done the whole kidnapping subplot in a different episode, because to me the 100th episode should be all about the characters, and not a random kidnapping.
I likes the whole "Dan's back" scenario, I wonder how that will play out?
I'm also curious who the alternate ending would have figured in. The writers have said that they knew this was the last episode going into the strike and that it could have very well been the serious finale, and how they wrote and filmed an additional 2-minute epilogue that wrapped up the series. It was probably all Peyton/Lucas...

Alternate ending? So your saying the producers of One Tree Hill designed a back up ending for episode 12 in case it got canned? That wouldn't make any sense considering it got a 22 episode order this season, but was shut down on episode 12 because of the strike.

Episode 12 in my opinion could have worked as a season finale in case the show never went back into production this season.
I don't buy that the producers thought the series was in danger of getting canned and designed an alternate ending to make it a series finale. It just wouldn't have worked IMO.
Hell, the show gets around 3M viewers and that's considered good for The CW. Plus, if you don't already know, it OTH got renewed for another season.
Hell, I'm happy that we're getting 6 more episodes to close out the season.
