Good episode. Like usual I have more interest in Ted/Barney, than anything Marshall and Lily are doing. Marshall coming down on Ted was lame. Hes the definition of boring married guy.

At first I thought the girl Ted bumped into was the mother, but he said they didn't meet, so......its continues.....

Nice fake out of sorts with the mother. Makes me wonder if the producers think this season might be the end of the show.

I doubt that it will be the last we see of the bump into girl. There's got to be a reason to put that in there.

Overall, pretty disappointing episode.

I think it was the mother. He said he didn't meet her and he didn't. He just bumped into her. How often do you bump into someone at a bar and remember them the next day?

The area code joke had the wife and I rolling... Sure only a handful will get it but it was spot-fucking-on.

Could his wife be the woman with the yellow umbrella? He made the comment at the end, about his luck changing I believe, when he found it and it was raining. Also could that be the same person he ran into? We might need some screen grabs to find out.

she had the same pants, but her black coat in the beginning covered up her shirt.

I also think the bump in girl was the mother. I re-wound the scene, and she was totally checking him out.

That was the funniest bit of the night.

I'd be surprised if the girl Ted bumped into was not the momma, though she didn't appear to be an actress we'd know, so we're probably going to be strung along for as long as the show is on the air.

Marshal, Lily, and Robin's story kind of dragged tonight. But other than that i thought it was alright. Its fun reading everyone's theories on who the mother is, Ted might met her soon.

Ted shouldn't meet their mother until the very last episode of the show. Even then, it shouldn't be anyone we know. If they're not going to make it Robin, then I don't think it matters "who" it is. Rather, it's the "how" he got there.

I enjoyed last night's episode. I really yawned at Lily and Marshall in it though (and Robin was wasted). Marshall was also more of an ass in my opinion to be harping to Ted. Ted = single. Ted = can do what he wants.

I also thought that the bump in girl could end up being the mother.

Was this renewed for season #4? Maybe Britney Spears can up the ratings next week, the tiny preview looked funny.

Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, but I thought "bump into" girl was the girl Ted was hooking up with. Or am I just crazy? I guess we need screencaps...

Not my favorite episode of the series- kinda started out to be a anti-"My Name is Earl", but in the end, came out to a moral lesson anyways. Still lots of laughs.

Ted was hooking up with Vanessa Minnillo, who was not the girl that he bumped into inside the hot spot.

They had already showed the mother previously this season, with the yellow umbrella.

Now that Ted has found the umbrella, how are we going to know the next time she shows up? I guess that will keep us guessing.

Well, I think he got her umbrella and she got his phone. I see her returning the phone (probably off camera?) and that's how they meet.

Also, when you see yellow umbrella girl in line at the beginning of the episode, you could see she was wearing blue jeans and a black (leather?) overcoat. If you look carefully at the girls in the background during the ep, there's a girl there with the same outfit. You can't see her clearly but (to me anyway) she looked an awful lot like Robin.
