Sucks to see Penner go. Certainly he is firmly established as one of the all-time great Survivor characters. You can tell that as much as they sniped at one another Jeff held him in pretty high regard. Maybe I'll crank up my copy of Anarchy TV in his honor.

Chet might very well be the single worst Survivor contestant of all-time. I can't think of one positive thing he did in his entire time on the show (casting votes doesn't count). Usually those kind of contestants go first. His sad sack demeanor wasn't even entertaining TV. On top of that going out the door he potentially screwed the gal who had been sticking up for him along. He wanted to quit so bad then cast the vote she wants (to get that result) and then quit. Of course given how shitty the tribe is getting rid of Ozzy wasn't exactly going to help. He's been in the underdog position before, but I be he's really missing Yul right about now.

Hmmm...would really like to comment on tonight's vote but don't want to spoil the fun for West Coast fans who haven't seen it yet. Gotta learn how to do the spoiler alert thing!

I just hope Tracy stays on til the end, lots of cold days ahead :P

Haha, what a worthless piece of shit. Think if society was made up entirely of people like that...yikes. And like was said, by quitting he may have screwed over the one person who has brought him this far. Sad episode, really - Penner is forced to quit, but would've been willing to put up with immense pain to stay in the game if it weren't a potentially life threatening injury. Feel for the guy. Then there's Chettington V, who was just sad.

Hopefully Amy will stick with Eric and Tracy and they can still force a tie by voting one of the other 3.

Sad way to see Penner go. He was going to make it deep in the game and he's one of the few that are entertaining to watch. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the next Survivor All-Stars.

Kathy's overreaction to Penner leaving was annoying. You knew the guy for 3 days and you're crying as if someone ran over your dog. She needs to go... fast.

Can one human being be more pathetic than Chet? He does absolutely nothing for the 17 days he was there and then he quits like a little bitch. He is by far the worst contestant in the history of the show. He brought NOTHING to the table as far as entertainment. On top of that he screwed Traci and Erik who were in power positions.

With Chet gone this is clear addition by subtraction. They're a better tribe now. Anyone notice that Traci and Chet voted for Erik? I guess they knew it was a pointless vote but I'm surprised they voted that way. Maybe it was a joke or maybe it was a way to keep Erik on edge, for no apparent reason.

Worst case scenario now for the Malakal tribe is that it will be Ozzie, Amanda and Cirie at the merge (assuming the merge happens at 10). However, I don't think they'll get swept out like that and Ami will be around as well. They'll all fair well at the merge since the favorites will outnumber the fans. CBS will feel pretty dumb if there are no fans left with 7 or 8 favorites still there.

I can't wait until Jason uses the fake immunity idol. He tries to be smooth and cunning by implying that Ozzy has it and that will blow up in his face.

Why didn't that pussy get treatment on his foot like Jonathon did. At least help vote off Ozzy and then quit the next day.

Chet is such a useless sack of jelly. He could have helped them vote Ozzy out, then asked to leave for his little wound.

I never liked Ami the first time, and I still Don't. I was cringing watching tribal council when Ozzie was saying Chet is going home, because of the way Tracy got the tribe to get rid of Mikey B. and Joel. I thought Ozzie would be gone, sadly I don't see the Malakor tribe doing any better in the challenges. Nice to see they finally came to their senses in getting rid of Chet.

I am relieved that Ozzie didn't get blindsided by the vote. I had a bad feeling that Chet might have nine lives or something but I think if there was a chance that Ozzie would go before Chet, the producers would have leaned on Chet to go out. They had the votes and I'm sure the producers didn't want that to happen.

Not sure why this episode would reaffirm not liking Ami for anyone. She was the only one with enough sense to look at the situation objectively and point out that the fans can't be expected to be pros at "Surviving".

As much as I like Ozzy, I'm really not looking forward to the inevitable Showmance Final 4, so I was hoping waste of space Chet would come to his senses and help poor Tracy.

The game is setting up very nicely for Ami too. There are only 4 men left. I'm sure her all female alliance will be in play at some point.

Besides her ... these "fans" are just awful. If they're such fans, why not play with some of positive attributes they saw on tv? Chet is beyond worthless - his quitting over what looked to be nothing looked even worse after seeing Jonathan gut out a challenge on one leg, and practically having to be dragged off the island. I was hating on Joel for his bullying before - but seeing Chet do this, he's the exception that deserves all the bullying he gets. If nothing else, just help Tracy out with the vote and quit the next day. Why couldn't he do that?!? I hope he gets booed massively at the reunion show.

And Jason ... oh man For his sake, I hope he (and the producers) are pulling our legs about his believing the idol he found is real. That thing looked so fake, with the goofy little carved smile. And I don't even want to imagine what Chet was thinking when he saw Jason come back with an 8-inch hard stick shape bulging out of the front of his shorts.

Whoever thought of the idea for James to carry the platforms by himself deserves praise. We've seen this challenge before, and no one ever thought of this. Though I don't know if James is the only one strong enough to actually pull it off.

Kronk could have done what James did in the immunity challenge.

is the fix in? There is ZERO reason why chet couldn't just vote for Ozzie and then quit. Zero. Other than the producers not wanting one of the favorites to go home.

I like how in the end he said "I'm proud of how I played the game". WTF I have no idea how he could spin what he did in a positive light. Seriously, I've never seen a worse contestant -- even the singing teacher had this guy beat.

Loved James carrying the platform. Fantastic strategy.. Brilliant..

they really didn't need Chet's vote. All they had to do was get Ami to vote Ozzy or Cerri and force a tie 3-3-1. Chet and Ozzy would not be able to vote and then Tracy/Erik/Ami would vote out Ozzy. I doubt Ozzy would have brought his Hidden Immunity Idol so he would be voted out in a second vote. That is why I kind of think that Ami is still with the favorites. I am not sure though.

Agreed.....and why was Cirie bellyaching about "teaching" (or whatever she said) the fans? What the fuck has she ever done around camp? I'm glad Ozzy wasn't blindsided but hope that Tracy sticks around. I like her.
