Which Smallville Character that left the show, would you like to return before the end

Lots of characters have left the show since season 1. They eithier died or left the show but which would you like to see before the show is over after the last season of season 8?

Well part of your poll is bogus on tomorrow night's new episode....
Spoiler:
Pete Ross returns.

Have we ever seen the ghosts of Jonathan or Whitney?

Who are Helen Bryce and Ian Randall? Both are at most footnotes in the Smallville universe.

Shawn Ashmore? Who cares? I'd much rather see title billed AARON finally show up in an episode!!!! (Besides wouldn't it be difficult for Eric Summers to explain why he looks just like Jimmy Olsen or vice versa????)

I would expect to see Martha again and would frankly like to see the Justice League return to recruit Clark to finish the series (along with a "sayonara" to Lana!).

Ya but it would be great if we can see more of the original cast from season 1 including
Spoiler:
Pete Ross in more episodes in season 8.

First one that came to mind for me.

I thought we had seen Jonathan once since he left. Shape-shifter or something of that nature. I can't remember.

I believe Clark nearly died, or something to that effect. While he was "out" he had a vision/meeting with Jonathan in the bar (surrounded by white light). Jonathan told Clark he was proud of him and alluded to the fact that he had seen the future in which Clark had great things to accomplish.

That sounds about right. Thanks.

Branic took the form of Jonathon to try and convince Clark to kill Lionel. That was the last time we saw "Jonathon"

With Brainic around we could still see him again. Or see Jonathon in a Flashback or something

SMALLVILLE jumped the shark big-time when they killed off Pa Kent...so he's the one I'd most like to see return in some form.

Scoop in TV Guide this week that both Michael Rosenbaum and Kristen Kruek either won't be back at all next year or will only be back for a limited number of shows. Already knew about Michael, but didn't know Kristen's contract was up as well.

Also:
Spoiler:
A major character will die on the April 17th episode

Even though I am happy about the news I think casting information should be spoilered.

Another vote for Alicia, she is so freakin' hot.
On a related note:I swear I saw this girl at the horse track this past weekend that was either the actress who played Alicia, or looked EXACTLY like her.

I am still pissed Pete didn't even show for Pa Kents funeral they have to get him back at least once before it is all over.

I can't believe none of you remember Helen Bryce played by this lovely lady:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0891275/

Unfortunately she has a recurring role on CSI:NY now. Her character is also dead.

Besides Pete, the character we will most likely see again is definitely Martha.

The show is missing Martha. There's no parental figure to help Clark move along with certain decisions that he and Lana shouldn't be making. He has no guidance and i don't think I'd run to Jor El every single time a problem arises.

I can't disagree. I can only say that she was there last season and provided zero parental advice. Quite frankly her character was wasted long before she left the show. A lot of it had to do with Jonathan. I didn't mind his death at the time since he was a one note character and it seemed his death would propel Clark into doing great things, but that never happened. Time has shown that Clark and Martha needed that anchor even if he was a one trick pony.

I think the show has gone downhill since Johnathan was killed off. I would really like to see Pete back on the show though. I would say that seasons 1-3 are still my favorite episodes of the show.

The actress who played Alicia is Sarah Carter, she now has a permanent role on the CBS crime drama Shark. I wouldn't expect her back, ever.
