The Hero in that flick is named d'leh - Backwards it reads "held" witch means "hero" in german. You now Emmerich is a german.

I agree it is the worst movie of the year so far. Good thing I saw it for free.

It was about ten times better when it was called Apocalypto (and they only had to go back a little more than 500 years for that one) and that's not saying all that much.

Emmerich's movies are always junk but sometimes they're at least entertaining like Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow. This one is even worse than Stargate which I didn't think was possible.

Regarding the hero's name, every time it was said I couldn't help thinking of the word "delay" and of Tom DeLay. That was distracting. The one good thing about the movie because it took my mind off of it!

Stargate is Emmerich's best movie, IMO. Not perfect by any means, but it's much better than ID4 and TDAT.

NY Post gave it a 1....I'm staying away. The director has done some nice things in the past but I think he didn't make it this time.

Great quotes on Rotten Tomatoes on this one (sitting at 8%)

"Barney Rubble had a lot more charisma than anyone involved in this movie."

"While the movie is completely ridiculous, at least it's fun to think of all the high school students who are going to mistake this movie for an accurate historical record and get F's on their next pop quiz."

"Almost worth sitting through the first half for the revelatory moment when you're forced to ask yourself: Is nearly the entire cast suddenly being attacked by what look like cracked-out ostriches? Why, yes, yes they are."

"This may well be the first prehistoric epic in which the liberal deployment of such words as "oog," "agh" and "uck" would have actually improved the screenplay considerably."

I like Emmerich's movies... but this one was the worst of the bunch.

I didn't care for any of the characters (or remember any of their names for that matter).

... and the about the end:

Spoiler:
When they kept showing the remaining "God" I was sure it was going to be an alien (ala Star Gate), but was saddened to find that it was only a really old man on stilts (I think).

I didn't really hate it... but I won't watch it again.

Their first and their best. It's all downhill from there.

10,000 B.C. - Piss-poor movie-making at its best. A forgettable tale set you-know-when, and it's just mind-boggling how bad the character development is, as well as the "adventure" portions that introduces more and more different groups of people as the main character (D'Leh) and his small gathering set out on a rescue mission after they are attacked by some big bad meanies and many of their tribe are taken (including D'Leh's sweetheart Evolet). It's not even a train wreck, it's just dull, and its conclusion has all the tension of a bungee cord in its resting state. Expect very poor word of mouth on this film.

I give it 1 star, or a grade of D.

Terrible, terrible terrible movie. Did I mention it was terrible?

I'm usually not one to bash movies as I can usually find at least a few good things about each movie I see and even if it's a really bad movie it's at least entertaining to some degree.

This movie completely and utterly failed. I have never been more bored watching a movie in my entire life. I couldn't care less about any of the characters and actually I was rooting for the wooly mammoths the entire film. They were the most entertaining characters.

It's not that bad, it's just slightly retarded, funny, entertaining. At least it had some original dinosaurs never seen in other dinasaur flicks (wooly mammoth, sabertooth, and huge ostriches). Very disappointed that the sabretooth didn't get enough screentime. That sabretooth should have been like that Narnia lion...

Those languages in the flick were just funny as hell - when the Mother, blind albino, the king's pussy assistants showed up - they were saying/acting like they were in a Montey Python sketch.

I liked how they audio-tampered the voices of the pillagers to sound like the Stargate villains...

Where was Jaye Davidson at the end? He was supposed to be the one behind the veil!!!

Woolly mammoths, saber-tooths and ostriches are not types of dinosaurs.

Something tells me you're the audience Roland Emmerich was praying for.

It's sad that the whole time I just kept thinking, 'O Dean Devlin, where art thou?'
