Price drop for the DS?

I'm thinking about getting a nintendo DS soon. Does anyone know if there's a chance that the DS will have a price drop soon? I'd hate to buy it and then have it price drop. Thanks!

Unlikely. It still sells tons (I never see them in stores) so why would they cut profits?

Buy it now, there is not going to be a price drop.

honestly if you want to save some money I think buy.com has a deal where if you use google checkout for a purchase over a $100 you get $20 dollars off.

FYE has a $30 rebate on the DS. Of course you have to cut up your box and chances of getting the rebate are slim. And then there is the fact they charge $10 more for the system than anyone else.

Not sure when this offer ends.

A price drop is unlikely.

We picked up a spare DS at Toys R Us a few months back, when they had a promo to receive a $20 gift card with purchase. Not sure if it was a frequent promotion, or a one-off kind of deal. Helps pay for the price of a game or something...

Sorry... I read you're question and this song popped into my head as the answer.

If the rumored redesign happens we may see a price drop, but they honestly have little reason to do anything until sales drop a bit.
