Looks like Mike Myers has gone green. I can't believe how much of this trailer is recycled directly from the Austin Powers series. Showing some hometown love, though.

Loved the end with the Academy award bit.

I didn't laugh once. Mike Meyers is completely destroying his career.

Mike Myers routine has been recycled for a long time now. This just looks pretty horrendous. I'm surprised he didn't use a Scottish accent as per his usual routine (So I Married an Axe Murderer, AP 2 & 3, Shrek 1-3). Not even a rental.

I would kill for something with the quality of So I Married An Axe Murderer (pun intended). Easily his most underrated film.

The accent he's doing is a spot-on Deepak Chopra.

One funny line: "I'm sorry, I didn't get your gnome."

Everything else seemed to smugly self-aware.

But even the gnome line was just a rip of a line from Austin Powers, anyway.

It's probably not a good sign when the best thing about the movie, based on this trailer, is Justin Timberlake. That's a sentence I never imagined writing.

Wow, that was pretty awful.

If you were to edit this trailer together with clips from any of the Austin Powers flicks, you wouldn't even be able to tell that this was a new movie. At the most you'd think it's a trailer for a new AP movie.

I hate to tell MM, but this type of stuff isn't going to cut it these days. Go back in time 5 or 10 years and it could work, but I can't see people flocking to see this one like they would have done before.

Watch me be 100% wrong and this will do $200 million at the BO.

Austin Powers 3's suckiness angered me.

I used to love Mike Myers and was a huge fan of Austin Powers back in the day (saw the original in theatres 3 times!) but this looks like a rehash from top to bottom... the only thing making me see this on opening day is that I'm a die hard TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS fan, so the fact that they could win the Stanley Cup in this film makes it a must see for that reason alone...

Why would Paramount choose to put this up against 'Get Smart'? That seems like an idiotic move since they'll share the same target audience and the 'Get Smart' trailer actually has some laughs.

I'm a sucker for these movies. I'll rent it.

Few grins but that's about it.

Get Smart interests me much more. It'll also probably pull in a lot of older people.

Plus, it's Summer, man. Both will get fucking mindnumbing ad space. One will open at 70mil and one at 50mil. With those kind of frontloaded Summer numbers, it's not really a competition. It comes down to 'which movie is actually better, and will continue to sell tickets'.

Timberlake looked like the only funny thing in this.
