Console software sales ending Feb 16th, 2008

The number after the publisher name is how many weeks it has been out. Then weekly sold and total sold.
1 360 Devil May Cry 4 Capcom 2 148,203 485,742
2 360 Lost Odyssey Microsoft 1 101,277 101,277
3 PS3 Devil May Cry 4 Capcom 2 85,424 281,296
4 360 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Activision 15 76,362 3,334,820
5 PS2 Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Activision 16 59,059 3,036,211
6 Wii Wii Play Nintendo 53 53,361 4,816,341
7 360 Turok Touchstone 3 49,005 190,724
8 Wii Wii Sports Nintendo 65 47,702 9,363,100
9 360 Rock Band EA 13 45,104 901,351
10 360 Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Activision 16 43,421 1,963,055
Saw these in the paper today and was just really surprised at a few things. Guess it was a good idea that Capcom went neutral and released DMC4 on the 360 as well.
Also surprised to see how many GHIII PS2 version have been sold and are consistently selling. Turok didn't completely bomb as expected but has sold almost as many copies on the 360 as Burnout Paradise has...I know that wasn't expected. And where is Burnout Paradise? It has sold 218K on 360 and 115K on the PS3. They had to expect it to sell better than that. Did the demo kill it? Was also surprised to see Super Mario Galaxy drop out of the top 10.
Just thought there were several interesting items for that week and was curious for other's thoughts.

Considering how many fewer PS3s are out there I think DMC4 did great. When you add in the Japanese sales it outsold the 360 version. I'm sad to see Burnout bomb, but it sounds like they are going to add crash mode as DLC to pacify everyone that has to have Burnout be the same every iteration so maybe it will find an audience. I loved the demo personally.
No major surprises. 360 is still the king of software sales in the US.

Call of Duty 4 is a juggernaught. Amazing sales totals for that game.

I'm surprised to see Rock Band hasn't hit a million copies yet, especially with the DLC flow. I also think Wii Sports is a shit number since the game isn't selling, the system is. I don't think a bundled game should make the list.

I agree that Wii sports shoudn't be counted, but I think the amazing thing is that the number of wii consoles being sold flat out rivals $50-$60 software titles.
