Just finished watching all three Terminator films again, and I've concluded that the machines did not send the best Terminator to kill John Connor when he was an adult. They would have been better off sending another T1000.

My reasoning is this: The TX has more in common with the T800 than the T1000 in that it has a metal endoskeleton. I say this makes the TX much more vulnerable to damage, even though its chassis is surrounded by liquid metal like the T1000.

But the T1000 has no definite shape. That is a strong advantage. Short of dropping it into molten steel, I have no idea how else you could kill the thing. Plus its flexible form provides the added stealth ability to assume shapes that are non-humanoid - like the surface of a floor. It can even move through bars!

The TX was not an improved design. I think it should've been recalled off the assembly line.

T1000. That motherfucker proved he was completely unstoppable, aside from a molten metal bath. Even a deep freeze and shattering him completely didn't faze him at all. TX was tough, but the T1000 would totally kick her ass in a fight to the death.

Except the T1000 could do the same thing. He could have pretended to be a woman, EVEN hotter than the TX and BAM.

The TX had side missions it could accomplish. She was probably chosen because the option of controlling the various Skynet machines would be handy as the war started.

The T1000 was the best though.

Well the T1000 is easily the best model out of these two. The TX was just horrible. I hated the idea of a skeleton surrounded by liquid metal. What was the idea? I liked the original idea that Cameron had about a machince make of sounds waves...a tad more orignal than the crappy TX. As one poster said, the T1000 had no real form and so could morph into anything pretty much, it also made it much more difficult to fight. At the end of the day the 800 is the best model as its Arnie for flips sake and he has kicked both there arses.

I thought the TX was like an advanced version of T1000, where she could form complex machinery and weapons and stuff...no? Well, I only saw it once, so maybe I don't remember...

They need to have a Terminator that can melt metal by touching it and that can also magnetize and have everything metal come right to them.

It is, but it has the liquid metal over the exoskeleton, which can be destroyed much easier than being completely liquid metal.

Say John Conner locks himself in a bunker that only has a 2 inch diameter pipe that the terminator can use to get him. T-1000 can liquefy and go down the tube to reform, TX can't get inside.

T-1000 is easily the better of the two.

The TX was a hybrid. She had built in weapons and other tools, which is pretty badass in itself. I didn't mind the choice they made with her.

Still, the T-1000 was the better machine. Kinda hard to top that if you ask me.

The specific T800 in T2 was the best. It could shoot more accurately than any model.

Not only can it mimic people, but objects too. There is something really scary about a bad guy that can be anyone you talk to or something you use on a normal day.

I would normally say the T-1000, but the TX did show she was able to escape something the T-1000 probably couldn't - the tunnel with the magnet...by having that super pizza slicer tool she was able to take out the magnet...I don't think the T-1000 would have gotten out of that.

And it's built like a tank.

I'd vote for T2 in general. Many details in TX were kind of borrowed from T2 despite hot T.

T2 was a fine improvement over previous ep.

I saw a clip of T3 and she was using some energy weapon to blow shit up, how did they get around the whole "Can't bring future weapons back" issue?
