Overall "LOST" Season 4 thoughts?
I know we have all the individual eps. but I wanted to know what people think overall about the season thus far.
I for one am torn about how much flash forward's they are doing and how much they are revealing. I just think it will take away from the final luster in S6. I mean what will we have to look forward to?
I know this is the new gimmick and I am sure they are going with it through S5, but too much, no?

Considering how focused the flash forwards are with "getting back to the island", I somehow think it won't deter the last season, at all.

I believe that they will get back to the island sometime during the 5th season. You never know with this show until it happens and then sometimes it is still a big question mark.

Wait. So, this is a thread saying Lost is giving away too much now?!
Oh the irony.
I have no problem with this season. Only wish we were going to get them consecutively like originally planned.

I think they filmed 8 episodes but the 8th one acts better as a mini premiere rather than a mini finale so:
7 now
then a break
then a total of 6 more (the 1 already filmed and the 5 still to be filmed)
for a total of 13 episodes this season.

The show has been on a great run since the middle of season three. So far, season four is close to season 1 in terms of my enjoyment level. the only thing I was upset about with this show was parts of season two.

I think season 5 will cover more about Jacob and maybe that big foot statue? Season 6 will cover them getting back to the island and no more flashback or flash forward, just realtime.

I don't think anyone could have predicted where the show is now based on season 1 so to now, based off of 4 episodes, be worried about where it is going 40 episodes from now, to me, is silly. Just watch the dang show! Isn't that the appeal? The twists and turns? The fact that we never really know were it is leading?

Season 4 is incredible so far and I'm enjoying the new direction.

I am enjoying season 4 so far. I think some of the suspense is gone in certain cases, but overall its been great.
For example, in last nights episode when the learned that the helicoptor hadn't reached the boat they played the "Oh my God Suspense" Lost music, but we already know that Syaid is fine so its not really creepy.
However, there is some shit brewing that is pretty crazy. At some point, everything we are seeing on the island is going to go to hell and I want to know how that happens.

I think the knowledge that some of the characters get off the island - and us not yet knowing the specifics of the how's and why's - is a great hook. Plus, there's the wondering of the fate of all the rest.
S4 has been a blast, so far.
And having this be my first "Lost in HD" experience, I have to add that it's even more exciting...

flash forwards indicating a 'happier ending' would entirely KILL the suspense of this show.
So far i'm loving the direction season 4 is going.

I'm enjoying it immensely. The flashbacks were starting to turn stale... there's only so much backstory you can have for these characters. The flash forwards are being handled very well so far and things are moving along at a brisk pace.
