Our first look at the season five cast. This time its Beauties vs. Geeks as they will not be paired up together. My favorite geek is the Sweater vest enthusiast.

Wow... it seems like last season just ended...

Wait... when did last season end? It's all just kind of running together in my mind.

Anyways, I'll be watching. This show is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Can't say I'm too excited about the beauty vs geek premise. It seems to go against the point of the show.

Some pretty hot beauties (6 that I liked) this time around.

They did a good job picking beauties last time and it looks like they did this time too. And it looks like the geeks are even geekier. Beauties vs. geeks could be interesting.

It's all about Amanda, people. I couldn't get past her picture.

I'm glad Megan was able to prove on Rock of Love how much winning this show changed her life and attitude.

I have a feeling he was planted on the show, doesn't appear too geeky.

Looking at the pics, I'm digging Tiffany and Cara. I'm more of a brunette fan, I guess.

Yep, I'll be watching I hope its good.

I will hold my judgment until it airs but I do not like it that they are keeping the beauties/geeks on separate teams this year.

Leticia and Jillian are early favorites.

Tom (sweater vest enthusiast) does not belong there.

Questions during the challenge were freakishly easy.

He's a ringer, no doubt. Jonathan could wind up being a bit of a ringer too.

For a moment it seemed like the losing contestant was about to reveal that the loss was a ruse, especially since it happened so fast with the easy questions as you mentioned. I am glad that it did not turn out to be another twist to the show.

Even if beauty vs. geek turns out to be a bit of a dud it should still be a fun season to watch.

Out of the Beauties I like Leticia the best, the black chicks are just crazy, a few of the geeks seem like they are decent looking guys that wouldn't have trouble getting dates. Tom "the sweater vest enthusiast", and the guy who was the child prodigy who was eliminated are a few examples. I am still learning everyones names. I don't really like the Beauties vs. Geeks idea, it makes it seem like Survivor & Big Brother. But who knows they might change it through the season.

Don't like Beauties vs. Geeks either. On the surface and through one episode it just seems to defeat the purpose of the show. Aren't they supposed to have to work together to betterh themselves?

Still not sure about the vs. angle, and the elimination was simply stupid, but if it keeps Jillian around longer, I can live with it. They had a hard time uglying her up.

Leticia looks like a fusion of Naomi Watts, and maby Charlize Theron
Kristina looks like Nikki Schieler-Ziering
Tara reminded me of a younger Lauren Graham with a little bit of Rini Bell mixed in.
Amanda very pretty, but has a small nose (distractingly so from the side profile).

How are they going to make sure the teams stay balanced? Unlike Trump you can not really move from one team to another unless the challenges are made that way. If they stay close to 1 to 1 I smell shenanigans by the Network.
