Movies you'd like to edit?
Are there any movies you love, but you get to a certain scene, cringe, and wish you could take the scene out?
Some of my recent ones are:
Donnie Darko (the bad CG "liquid spears")
Across the Universe ("I Am the Walrus" and "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite")
Charlie Wilson's War (the helicopter conversation)
Paris, je t’aime (the hairdresser / Chinese section)
Mr. Brooks (the last few minutes after the last murder)
Spider-Man 3 (strutting scene, dancing scene, Sandman is a murderer, Harry's amnesia, butler, Venom)
American Gangster (about an hour)

Jackie Chan's "Who Am I?" - I'd change the order of some of the scenes around to keep up the suspense of who he is longer.
I know there's a few more I've always thought could use some editing but that's the main one that comes to mind off hand.

I would completely remove the "raindrops keep falling on my head" montage in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

I just read the graphic novel over the weekend, and all the awful "narrative scenes" from the film that drug on, where not in it.

Peter Jackson's King Kong. Not exactly a new complaint but I'd get them to the island quicker. I'd cut out a lot of the the scenes on the boat. I'd also cut out the giant insect scene simply because it grossed me out to no end.

Episode II - anytime Anakin says "master" or "m'lady".
The movie would instantly be 10 times better.

SPOILER!
I always though "A.I." would have been better if it had faded to black and ended when the kid gets trapped on the ocean floor, staring at the Blue Fairy statue. I really disliked the "archeologist robot" rescue/resurrection coda.

I'd love to be in the editing bay for a Kate Beckinsale, Scarlett Johansen, and Amy Adams lesbian menage-a-trois flick.
Am I not getting the purpose of this thread?

- The Al Pacino/Sofia Coppola scene that wasn't in the theatrical GODFATHER III but got put into the home video versions needs edited out again...she's just horrible in that scene (we all know she wasn't that hot in most of the other scenes, but this one is cringe-inducing).
- Most of Michael Bay's movies...if only so we can stay on a shot/character for more than 3 seconds.

all of the 2 hour plus comedy movies that have come out lately. Superbad, 40 yr old virgin, knocked up. Take away 40mins from each to make them much better movies.

Trim down all 3 Lord Of The Rings movies to 2 hours, and put Christopher Lee back in Reurn of The King. (of all things to cut out, Peter Jackson cut the main villian of the trilogy)
