George Washington Loves to Dance and Jump: Weekend Box Office for 2/14 to 2/18
Early estimates are showing that Jumper and Step Up 2 The Streets (ugh) are close to take number one on the box office for Valentine's Day.

To be honest, I think Jumper will win the box office this weekend. It has a larger audience appeal than Step Up 2 which I believe will start to drop come Sunday (the teens will see it Friday and Saturday and that'll be it).
Spiderwick may be the dark horse depending on it's Saturday and Sunday numbers, but Jumper and Step Up 2 do have the early lead.
I hope Definately, Maybe pulls some legs. It's time for Ryan Reynolds to have some box office success.
Why hasn't Fool's Gold took a huge drop yet? It's the second worst reviewed film of the year (right behind Meet the Spartans) and people are still flocking to see it. Sigh.

In a 300 seat theater, there were only five couples (including my girlfriend and I) there.

Well, good for Rambo outlasting Spartans at least.

I was expecting Fool's Gold to be a nuke at the box office (a really major bomb if you don't know), but it's faring (slightly) better than I thought.
But Step Up 2 the Streets always gets me giggling. The trailer looked ridiculous, and the title is this decade's Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo.

By the way, Jumper is playing at 1,000 more theaters than Step Up 2, yet barely won on Thursday. That doesn't sound promising.
