Assassin's Creed: Quick question

If i hate FPS games on consoles (because i can't aim and I've been playing FPS with mouse/keyboard since doom), will I hate this game as well? I'm thinking about picking it up.

Thanks,

Joe

I'm not sure why it would even apply, since Assassin's Creed isn't a FPS, or even a 3rd Person Shooter.

Why is that a stupid question? Uncharted is 3rd person, but i don't like it because you still have to aim your gun.

Not sure why i'm getting ripped, its a legit question.

Uncharted is a shooter so you... ummm... spend 95% of the time shooting.

Assassin's Creed is not a shooter. As far as I am aware, there are no guns in it at all. You spend most of the time jump on and around buildings (as in a platformer), and when you do fight it is with a sword that requires no precision aiming.

The government created Assassins Creed to brainwash the children into becoming future Lee Harvey Oswalds!

Thanks,

I to am spoiled with the mouse in FPS, though I was able to overcome this in games like Bioshock.

As some have posted in this thread, you should have no problem enjoying AC. The controls are actually the games strongest aspect. In no time you will be a killing machine that can climb and jump like crazy. If anything, the game becomes to easy.

Buy (or rent) it, then play it.

Only then will you know why you received these responses.

I think he's just asking why we're teasing him about it instead of just giving him a straight answer.

I wonder if he knows what forum he's posting on.

That might hold water if the very first reply wasn't a straight answer. After that, it seems people couldn't pass up an easy joke.

But to give another perfectly straight reply, chances are that the original poster, upon having played the game, will look back and wonder, "What in the world was I thinking comparing this to a FPS' kb/mouse mechanic?"
