I hope this is the first weekend where Rambo makes more than Spartans. No surprise on Fool's Gold. Bucket List seems to have some legs on it. Vince Vaughn's Crapfest seems to be getting what it deseves.

I am pulling for Fool's Gold to do at least $23 million so I can win the weekly pool we do at work.

I can't remember the last time the top 5 was comprised of movies I'll probably never see.

That is like a 3-4 person avg. attendance at each showing of Vince Vaughn's movie. That's awful.

I saw the trailer for Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show on myspace, it looks pretty bad.

And Paris' movie is HALF that!

As long as Rambo makes more money than MTS, I would call Rambo a success.

I can't believe Juno has broken $100 million and Cloverfield won't. And I hope all this "I drink your milkshake" talk gives There Will Be Blood a boost.

Not likely, I think the only substantial affect it'll have is an increase in milkshake sales at fastfood joints.

Rambo internationally will do good.

So is Cloverfield a bomb?
Was it a big budget?

Cloverfield budget = $25 million....so not a bomb at all.

Plus, add in worldwide totals, Cloverfield is doing fantastic business on a small small budget.

"Meet the Spartans (20th Century Fox) and Sylvester Stallone's Rambo (Lionsgate) continued to spar for position in their third weeks with Sly being ahead by just $2,000 according to weekend estimates. After settling for second place in their opening weekend, it's currently ahead of Spartans' box office gross by roughly $2.5 million.

Opening outside the Top 10 at #24 (!), the weekend's third wide release, the comedy concert Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show (Picturehouse) grossed just $507,000 in 962 theaters, a pitiful average of $527 per site, quite a contrast to the other successful concert film in theaters.

Opening in just 28 theaters, Martin McDonagh's debut In Bruges (Focus Features) starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson grossed $471,000 or $16.8k per theater, which should be decent enough to warrant further expansion.

Even with such a pitiful showing, Vaughn's documentary fared better than the raunchy comedy The Hottie & the Nottie (Regent Releasing), starring the one and only Paris Hilton, which opened in 111 theaters on Friday and averaged $225 per location or roughly 30 people per venue over the weekend."

Looks like Uwe Boll isnt alone in making extremely big financial disappointments.
