I know as soon as a respawn I always make a b-line to my "murderer" and pop a cap in his ass. You?

No, because these things tend to escalate.

If my team is losing badly, I'll sometimes become a "serial killer" and run around stalking my own team.

I don't care enough to smack em back, I just degrade their user score on Live.

Why screw your whole team, especially if, as the poll is worded, it was clearly a mistake? I think if someone kills a team member more than once, at least on Halo 3, an option comes up to boot them right away (once I can see as an accident, more than that I get suspicious).

If it's an ongoing "mistake" then we may has some issues, things happen though you've got to learn to roll w/ it.

I agree, I mean its kind of simple logic. Killing teammate puts your team in more harm, unless you are looking to just be an arsehole, and cause chaos.

I never do unless it's some punk kid doing nothing but team killing.

Accidental.. no prob. But I've had SOCOM sessions where we get one asshole that will suicide bomb the whole team right off the bat. We'll respawn in the same spots and immediately retaliate then vote him out.

If I'm only gaming with friends, sure I'll retaliate. All in good fun, which is why I/we play. The people I play with aren't stat whores so if some random team killing gets a laugh, whether I'm the victim or the aggressor, then so be it. It rarely escalates so, it's fun every once in a while.

Battlefield 1942 used to have some big TK problems. There was a glitch that would allow you to parachute inside the "bridge" of the aircraft carrier, and you could shoot out but it wasn't possible to shoot in. The only way to stop the shooter was to pull off the glitch yourself and take him down.

I remember one game where a team killer got in there and proceeded to shoot everyone they saw and blow up planes. I made it my mission to kill that guy, and we got in a huge back-and-forth on it. I think I ended up with -50 kills when all was said and done.

Bastard deserved it.

The part I hate is that now it seems harder to tell friend from foe in games. Especially when you're in a fire fight and you only have a split second to react to someone charging you.

I don't shoot back, and I don't boot anyone that has more kills than me, or at least a decent amout. I will however, kill any MF'er that shoots me because I picked up the shotgun or sniper before he did and he sprays me with AR rounds.

If it was done by accident, I would just move on and play the game.

When I was in clan where I controlled 3 Call of Duty servers, I had to ban couple kids for "ruining" others' fun such as team-killing.

Only when it's a buddy, and then only if we're screwing around in custom games or something like that.

I only shoot Spiderbite73 or SteelgearX. Well, and sometimes Chibul329. They all deserve it.

Seriously...sometimes it happens. Especially in Hardcore CoD4 matches, whether it be because the indicators showing that it's a teammate simply doesn't show up, or a grenade bounces the wrong way, etc. Same with Halo. But the people that are doing it because it's funny, especially if you don't know them, is a real shitter to a fun game.

Where's goLucky...the master of team killing?

It really depends on the circumstances.

If it's accidental or I got in the way of a moving vehicle or their line of fire, then of course not.

However, there are so many morons that spam claymores on BF2, after I get it once, I go hunt them down. Same with anyone that TK's me for a vehicle.

I'm also not too fond of people zipping into my preferred sniper's nest, as I tend to do fairly well on my own, usually 10-15 kills per nest. Then some yahoo zips in, leaves their zip up like a giant target, and proceeds to fire at anything and everything, usually drawing armor fire. Those types usually get a knifing for their trouble.

No, I don't like to stoop to their level. I will only defend myself if being teamkilled. Usually if a guy keeps doing it, I'll knife him or whatever.

Violence only means more violence. If you retaliate, you're only going to make him madder.

The best thing is to open up a dialogue with him and let him know how badly your feelings were hurt.

In general NO especially if it's an accident. But if the guy is doing it on purpose and the rest of the team then turns on him then FUCK YEAH.

I ran into 2 little fuckin' Brat Bastards doing this on Monday while playing Lost Planet. The kid kept claiming, "Oh that was an accident!", but then I overheard him talking to his butt buddy and it was clearly intentional. I gave them a poor rating AND and filed a complaint because they ruined the game for everyone over the course of 2 or 3 matches. Luckily in LP you can set the matches for "team kill off" but I wanted to play with a particular group and they had it "on".
