when will the wii become easily available?

Since the holiday season is over i expected the nintendo wii to be available in all the electronic stores. The Xbox360 and ps3 are easy to find but not the wii. So how long till the wii has enough systems in stores where i wont have to hunt them out? I think by Febuary.

We all thought that last year too... I don't expect it to be readily available till the next holiday season, unless the open up another plant or two to increase production.

I think it will finally slow by summer and be more readily available.

We all failed badly at the last poll. However, the Wii has to cool down and I think it will by Summer.

I said March, mainly because Never isn't a valid option, but May looks to be a better time frame.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl arrives in February, which will easily deplete available supply of Wii consoles for that month as well as March. As the spring wears on, I think that demand will lessen somewhat and even out the supply and demand ratio.

After Brawl comes Mario Kart, which will sell more systems. Then comes Wii Fit, which seems like it will be a huge hit as well. It has already sold over a million copies in Japan since its early December release.

Crap. I forgot about Mario Kart.

As for Wii Fit, Nintendo's keeping its release date very close to the vest... but yeah. That'll move systems, too.

Maybe I should have chosen never!

I say September-October they will be on store shelves, but come November and the holiday season, the cycle will start all over again.

I agree. I was thinking that we'd start to see the demand die down after the holidays and they'd be on shelves around March no problem. But where I work there are a bunch of much older people and last year I remember hearing a couple people talk about the Wii but since I've been back from vacation I've had a ton of people ask me about it. I'm talking grandparents here too, people in their 50's and early 60's saying "you ever seen one of those Wii's? My grandkids brought it over for Christmas and it was alot of fun, I'm thinking about getting one"

So if you're still looking good luck because I think Nintendo has a hot item for at least the next year. When Wii Fit comes out in the U.S. there are going to be shit tons of moms and old people buying them.

Not never, but not April. It's been out for 14 months and you still can't get one. There's a chance the Xbox 720 will launch before you can walk into a store on a whim and get a Wii.

Late Summer/early Fall will probably be the time of most Wii sightings, but then the holidays come again...

That echos what I've been seeing as well.

I think that there will be a 2 week window in March when Wiis will momentarily be easily available, and then another 2 week window towards the end of August. It isn't based on supply but an odd lull in consumer purchases. I noticed the same thing in 07.

Well since you don't have an option for it, I think May. So I voted April.

My guess is that it should be fully available this summer.
