Yes, both the Xplorer and the wireless Les Paul work in Rock Band. There's different stories as to why it won't work the other way around.

I'm having a good time with Rock Band, and all I have is the Wireless Les Paul and the standalone Rock Band game. The only difference is that some songs are clearly on the game to be played as a band more than just guitar, but it's great fun for the most part. I'm having more fun with it than GH3, honestly.
