Does anyone know if BB has any plans to discount their Tom Petty exclusive set before (or even soon after) xmas?

I don't think they will, as it's an exclusive. I personally own it, and really enjoy it. Any Tom Petty fan would be happy with it...

It will probably be after xmas. It took awhile for the rolling stones set too go down.

uh, I tried a search. bestbuy's search functions brought up 827 results, including queen latifah cd's, irrelevant dvds, etc.; i looked at the first 40, and did not see a set for $29.99, so wanted to make sure i was looking at the right thing. thanks for taking your time, trevor.

is that true? half price for employees? is that for all their exclusives? considering they have quite a few exclusives, a part-time job might not be such a bad idea. PLUS, they'd finally have someone working there that actually KNOWS about the dvds that are coming out and can actually HELP

The David Gilmour concert "Remember That Night" would freeze, they pulled that one quickly. Now I'm hearing the "Razor" exclusive may have the bonus disc missing. I have no luck with them.

Think it used to depend on the type of product. Cd's were a certain percentage, dvd's were another percentage. When I worked at sam goody when it was part of best buy I think the discount on cd's and cd boxsets was about 45 or 50 percent

for those still interested in this, the set is now showing as $24.99 at bestbuy.com and you can still get the free $10 giftcard.

It rings up that way ($24.99 plus $10 GC) in stores as well.

I ordered it last week online. 5 seconds after hitting "submit order", I realized that the gift card didn't show up in my order. You have to manually add the gift card to the order, then it comes up as free when combined with the set. I immediately re-ordered with the giftcard and emailed to cancel my original order.

Despite requesting cancellation less than a minute after placing the order, BB sent me both orders a week later. Never responded to my email either, outside of the standard "we received your inquiry and will respond within 24 hours".

I think I'll return both orders and just buy it in store, rather than try to get the $5 credit thru bb.com.

fyi, there are no signs about the $10 GC instore, but they do ring up.

Now the gift card is automatically added to your cart. I made the same mistake and they did not answer my email within 48hr. I called and the CSR sent me the gift card through expedited shipping and I was still not charged for shipping. Pretty cool of her to do for something that was arguably my mistake. When I got the gift card I put it toward another BB exclusive set and got another $10 GC.
