Don't recall the exact price or whether there even is a sale currently going on at Target.

I *think* I may have seen a South Park Season deal down at Target yesterday.

They were going for $14.99 at the major retailers(Best Buy, Target) during the Thanksgiving weekend. I picked up seasons 8-10 at Amazon for $17.49 each a couple of weeks ago.

Picked up 5-10 at Best Buy during this sale. Too good to pass up.

Thx. Just got Seasons 1-10 for 185.00 shipped at Target. Hope they do not come out on HD DVD soon. Oh well, even if they do South park 1-10 on eBay used fetch almost 200.

Amazon had them for $17.49 on Black Friday and a couple of times since then. I got Seasons 5-8 for that price.

Wal-Mart has the older ones for 20 bucks as does Target. Season 7 and above is still pricy though.

I think Target currently has some at $17.99, or at least mine does. I saw them while picking up some other DVD sets, sale probably ends tomorrow though.

Doubtful, since, if I'm not mistaken, the show is only in SD to begin with.

Yup, it will probably never be released in HD

It's not impossible for it to be released in HD. Last year Microsoft released an HD DVD Sampler with an HD episode of South Park on it, most likely just an up-converted video, but still, it's possible. I mean seriously, even CASABLANCA is on HD DVD

The promo disc has the "Good Times With Weapons" episode re-rendered in the 16x9 aspect ratio, in both HD-DVD and regular DVD format. The 4x3 version switched to 2.35 letterbox during the anime-style segments, but this one has everything in 16x9. I haven't compared the 16x9 and 4x3 versions directly; I don't have HD myself yet but my friend just got a player and the HD version DOES look better than the regular DVD!

firstly since it is animation it could totally be possible... secondly, the reason an older film like Casablanca is available in HD is that it was recorded on film originally, film holds enough resolution to master in high def...
