Need movies similar to Kung Pow

I've always like this, but finally had my 8 and 6 year olds watch it with me. They liked the cover, but I never thought they would enjoy the humor in the movie. They absolutely loved it and I would love to watch some similar ones with them. Any suggestions?

What's Up? Tiger Lily comes to mind, but thats because it is similarly an older movie redubbed with an english track (tho Woody didn't put himself in the movie like is done w/ Kung Pow). Tho What's Up is an antique these days.

That's really tough to say, Kung Pow is, I hate to say it, kind of unique.

Shaolin Soccer?

(edit: oops I guess I'm still waking up...I read your original post and thought of Kung Fu Hustle)

I'd almost think that a show like MXC or Kung Faux would be closer then either B.H. Ninja, Ricky-o, or Shaolin Soccer. Those would simply be funny (your definition on what's funny may vary widely) kung fu type movies, as opposed to Kung Pow's slaughtering of an older film. What's Up Tiger Lilly sounds pretty accurate to simply redoing dialogue to a film...

Kung Faux sample:
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JPHlwhuMYUw&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JPHlwhuMYUw&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

MXC sample:
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/isnkcYYZEHE&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/isnkcYYZEHE&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Kentucky Fried Movie. The Enter the Dragon spoof is hilarious.

He can't show all of Kentucky Fried Movie to a 6-year-old and an 8-year-old! There's too much sex humor in it for kids that young! Remember the "Catholic High School Girls In Trouble" segment with the bare-breasts bouncing off the glass? (Hilarious, but intended for the grown-ups.)

Yes, the 30-minute long "Fistful of Yen" segment that's a hysterical spoof of Enter the Dragon would be perfect for what he's looking for. But ONLY that segment of the movie (easy to do with DVD as long as he goes straight to that scene and then remembers to eject the disc as soon as that segment is over).

They do love MXC. Okay, looks like there may not be a good alternative. But some day they will be older and we will watch MST3K together. They don't like that yet.

Thanks for clarifying that. I'm sure he would have figured that out on his own since it is rated R. I'm glad the internet police is on the job!

My son loved MST3K when he was 8. Start him on the Ultraman one (the one with Ultraman and Godzilla haviing the wrestling match with the two bad monsters. Can't remember the name.) Nothing twists a young psyche like watching four Japanese men in rubber suits bouncing around the screen.

*edit: Jet Jaguar! How did I forget it?

Balls of Fury is pretty good. If I was 13 it would be my new favorite movie.

That's what I read too.

Kung Pow is terrible. Kung Fu Hustle is divine. Do your kids a favor, dave.

I haven't seen the US cut of Kung Fu Hustle but I remember it being a tad violent.

I saw it with my brother and sister (who are roughly that age). They didn't care for it very much.

Shaolin Soccer for sure.
Fun for all ages.
Kung Fu Hustle is a little too bloody though.
